GRIMMFEST FILMS and NOT A NUMBER are associated independent film and TV production companies based in the UK. From the brains behind Grimmfest Film festival, they develop and produce feature films and small screen projects with a focus on horror and genre content. Dedicated to producing film and TV drama with the highest production values whatever the budget. They write, develop and bring new film drama to the screen.
Their movies have been distributed and screened all around the world. Festivals have included: Sitges, AFI Los Angeles, Leeds, Cork, Frightfest, Raindance, Karlovy Vary, Screamfest LA, NYC Horror Fest, Leeds, Fantasporto, Worldfest Huston, Flanders, Night Visons (Helsinki), Mayhem (Nottingham), Buenos Aires, Grimmfest, Celluloid Screams, Cambridge, Dublin, Abertoir and many more.
Our films have won festival awards including best feature, best screenplay and best cinematography.
Rachel Richardson-Jones - Producer
Rachel’s key responsibility is to head all aspects of company liaison, such as dealing with financial institutions and developing international business. She’s also responsible for individual film finance, production and market strategy. Since leaving her role as senior Producer/Director at the award-winning production company SPOKEN IMAGE, where she directed and produced corporate work and commercials on an international level, Rachel has produced a number of feature films including SPLINTERED, WHITE SETTLERS (THE BLOODLANDS) and HABIT. Rachel is experienced in handling complex budgets and has an extensive knowledge of production at all levels.
Simeon Halligan - Director
Simeon’s primary role is to run the creative aspects of the company, focusing on content development, from script to screen – including film direction. A Royal College of Art graduate. Originally an art director for Films, TV shows and commercials, Simeon directed award winning shorts before tackling his first feature, SPLINTERED (2010). This was followed by WHITE SETTLERS (2014) a suspense thriller that was distributed worldwide and screened at prestigious festivals such as Sitges, Frightfest, Fantasporto, Flanders and Screamfest LA, where it won best cinematography. HABIT (2017) based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name was completed in 2018 and has played many prestigious festivals including Leeds, Cambridge and Dublin.
